FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What type of work do electricians perform?

Electricians power the world. Without us, nothing would happen when you flip on your light switch, power your computer or turn on your television. Electricians are highly trained and skilled tradespeople who design and install electrical systems. We also maintain these electrical systems to ensure that they continue to operate reliably and safely. As a Lima Electrical JATC apprentice, most of the work you perform will be in industrial and commercial environments. We work at the refineries, chemical plants, manufacturing plants, hospitals, schools, data centers, office buildings and commercial buildings. The wide variety of work in which we specialize offers you the opportunity to pursue a rewarding career performing the type of work you enjoy most.
